People ask, “Where do you get your ideas?” I really don’t know. They sometimes come to me at 2 or 3 am. That’s when “The Committee” is in session in my head. (I’m sure that many of you can relate!) Sometimes ideas come from others who have seen or worked with my techniques. Sometimes one idea morphs into something completely different!
We've been busy making videos on our techniques and on specific pattern instructions. Go to the Tips, Videos & Opps page. Scroll down to see videos listed by pattern. We will be adding more videos over the coming months.
"The Committee" has also been busy this fall. See the Patterns page for our new offerings. They are listed first. "Anything Goes" is an oversized tote that will handle anything!! We've fused fabric strips with beefy double-sided fusible (Duet Fuse II from Bosal or Duo-Fuse from Innovative Crafts) giving the bag the strength and stability of clothesline without the weight. The pattern also gives you directions for a softer version using batting filled strips. Next, our weaving technique introduced at Spring Market has been incredibly popular. Many people have asked for a placemat or a rug pattern. "Crisscross" gives you both!!!
In January/February, the following new patterns will be available (if you attended Quilt Market in Houston, you probably saw these in our booth and Hoffman's):
West Side Bag - great looking, classic, everyday bag
Tubular Baskets - easy to make basket with handles, three sizes
In the Spring look for a series of new bags in several sizes.
Sooo many ideas and so little time!!
